Common editing operations

This overview describes common editing operations. Most elements on a page follow the same rules for editing and layout.

Selecting Elements:

Single selection

To select a single element, tap it. When the resizing handles are showing, the element is selected. When an image is in a panel, a single tap selects the panel. A double tap selects the image.

Multiple Selection

You can select multiple elements by selecting a single element and then, while holding a finger down on the selected element, tapping other elements you want to add to the selection.

Moving Elements:

Tap the center of the element and drag the element around the page.

Resizing Elements:

To resize an element, first select it, and then drag a resize handle. To make an element the same size as another element on the page, tap the element you want to use as a guide while holding another finger on the resize handle of the element you want to resize. To resize an element around its center, hold one finger on the element's center and use another finger to drag one of the resize handles. Only one element at a time can be resized.

Rotating Elements:

To rotate an element, first select it, and then place two fingers on the element. A rotation indicator appears, telling you that you can begin rotating the element. Twist your fingers around in a circular motion (as if unscrewing a bottle top). The element rotates, following your fingers. Only one element at a time can be rotated.

Cut, Copy and Paste:

To copy an element, first select it, and then tap the element to show its context menu. Choose Cut or Copy. To paste, tap on the page approximately where you'd like the element to appear, and choose Paste in the context menu that appears.

Deleting Elements:

To delete element, first select it, and then tap again to show its context menu. Choose Delete.

Undo and Redo

Any editing action can be undone by tapping on the Undo button in the toolbar. To redo an operation that has been undone, tap and hold the Undo button, then choose Redo from the context menu that appears.
